Non-medical/non-surgical transition
Non-medical and/or non-surgical transition refers to various social aspects of transitioning such as changing appearance, name (non legal), and pronouns to reflect one’s gender identity. While some folks may choose to pursue medical and surgical interventions such as gender-affirming hormone therapy or surgeries, others may opt for non-medical approaches or a combination of both.
