TransCare+ Supports The Call For A Global Strike
In the last three weeks, over 9,000 Palestinians and 1,400 Israelis have been killed, and every bomb dropped on Gaza and military attack in the West Bank threatens the lives of 2.2 million Palestinians in Gaza and 200 Israeli hostages, and their regional and global diasporas.
As a community-based organization, we are acutely aware of the devastating impact this conflict has on human lives and well-being. We stand in solidarity with all affected civilians and strongly condemn any form of state violence in the region. We join the international call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and seek an end to the oppressive conditions that constitute Israeli apartheid.
We echo the global demand for an immediate ceasefire. The solidarity protests and marches worldwide highlight the universal call for peace and freedom for Palestine. TransCare+ acknowledges the crucial role of queer and trans individuals and organizations in these efforts. TransCare+ commits to coalition-building with activist groups and organizations that advocate for the liberation of Palestinian people. We believe in the power of united voices to effect change and call upon our peers to not remain silent. We urge organizations globally to actively support efforts towards peace and justice, which aim to end the Israeli occupation, settler-colonialism, and apartheid.
We call for CEASEFIRE NOW! The lives lost and the suffering endured by so many cannot continue. It’s time for immediate and decisive action to bring peace and start the journey towards healing and justice for all.
In warmth and solidarity,
TransCare+ Board of Directors, Staff, and Leadership
