Aging Out was created by QMUNITY (funding provided by Vancouver Foundation). This resource discusses the history of the systemic discrimination faced by 2SLGBTQ+ seniors, gaps in Canadian research regarding this demographic, and includes personal stories from folks in the community. It also covers the FAB (First Appropriate Bed) policy and other current policies, practices, and recommendations. It concludes by proposing two specific recommendations in order to create care environments where 2SLGBTQ+ seniors feel welcomed and included.
